Verily 'twould be better an he lived - knowing his life was saved by those he hates...

Poetic justice is a bigger bitch than payback.

"Say ain't you the guy who owes his life to a bunch of niggers?"

Non, pas du tout mon frere. That's a grim reminder of what can happen if you speed and fuck up. It's mental images that cause me to check my speed when I'm feeling fractious, therefore it has a place

Our firearms instructor had the same outlook - and showed us some pretty graphic pictures on one of the times I went for my firearms licence... all these guys who'd failed on some aspect of firearms safety. The images come to mind from time to time and I think again about what I am doing when handling a firearm. We also got told silly mistakes that people had made and their results - like the guy who rested his (loaded) shotgun butt-down on the threshold of the door of a farm house and knocked. While he was asking the woman who answered the door if he could hunt on her land, the shotgun slipped off the threshold, slammed butt-first into the step, discharged and took his head off - fortunately the woman was physically unharmed. Psychologically, however....

Nah, they'd save him, give him a blood tranfusion from a black person then let him know that fact so he can sweat it out for the rest of his life!!

(anybody remember the same kind of situation on 'All in The Family' with Archie Bunker??)
