Any advice on how to access the allen screw on bottom of carb to drain woud be appreciated.

I found a manual online with a detailed description, but only for 1990-1994 models!

First you need to unscrew the hose clips that hold the rear suspension resevoir and pull it aside. a good long allen key can then be used to turn drain screw out. do not overtight it when turning back in.
