I still haven't bought a bike

I signed up a few months back and proudly announced that I was returning to motorcycling...for pleasure.
Trouble is I am standing at the top of the cliff ready to jump on something but....I havent taken the plunge.

I want a bike with some cred and around $10k, my budget has increased.

I am seeing V7 Moto Guzzi that look nice, I have seen a few older Triumph street twins (and some older Bonnies) that also look nice, and then there is the RE Interceptors for similar money....

Any comments or opinions regarding those would be appreciated.

I have one bike shop close by that I need to visit but haven't.

Somebody please give me a kick in the arse.

Without knowing what 'type' of bike you want and for what 'type' of riding it's hard to give advice. Touring? Adventure? bit sporty or just laid back cruisy?

Plenty of 2nd hand Triumph bonnie twins will do the cruisy thing. Speaking of under $10,000 I'm rapped with my 390 Adventure and the Husvarna 701. Both were under $10k to buy if that's your taste. The KTM 390 does have cred in that it doesn't look like a small bike, it rips along twisties like a super sport 600 (well downhill anyway!) and it is spot on for gravel roads. And super comfortable.

I'm yet to sample the Husky's weird block tyres on gravel but will do sometime soon.

...do it or don't...simple...it's cool shit when you have a horn for it...maybe you don't have that...there are far more sensible things to spend 10k on...spend a quarter of that on a bike and see how you feel...
