Doesn't matter. The bulb will work just as well connected either way.

Unless you are travelling north. The electrons don't like going backward when travelling north.

so if they connect the postive wire into the earth then nothing will go apart from the fuse...

Unless they are LED indicators... [emoji15] The multi-coloured wires are probably +ve, so try connecting them first and swap if they don't work.
LED indicators will probably flash too fast unless the factory indicators are the same, and you will need to either add load resistors or change the flasher relay to a LED type.

With my limited knowledge of electrickery ... power (+) is Black. White is neutral. Black and white wires will either be a earth or a continuation loop of the (+) wire (I'm guessing the former).
Some indicator systems are in a loop. (ie) one bulb goes and none work. Most though have one power wire from the flasher unit and an earth. Less wiring needed for this system.
Green is Earth. Blue is power. White is neutral.
Give it a try ... what could possibly go (bang ??) wrong ... :innocent:

In my experience, a solid black wire is usually an earth on motorbikes. This is easily tested for tho and if the indicator being fitted has any earthing potential from it's body, then make sure you wire it up properly the first time. Buy a cheap multimeter from SCA and away you go...

I actually did that.
Once.

The best thing about indicators ... the current does not a require single fixed directional flow though the wires. It can travel in and out of either one in either direction. It requires just a power source (using either wire) and an earth (or installed in a circuit) to make it work.
Get a battery and put one wire on positive and another wire on Negative. No fuses to blow. It will or wont work. And unless it's a 24 volt battery ... the bulb won't blow either.

So does the ON current flow one way, and the off current flow da odder way?
should we put something between those 2 wires or if it doesn’t work get a bigger battery?
or a smoke generator insertion tool......
looking forward to your words of enLIGHTened explanations.....:eek5:

No, that is new technology, alternating current, used on electric motorcycles to enable regenerative charging

If there are two wires on the indicator ... whatever one you connect to the power and the other to earth ... it will work.
Try it yourself ...

Unless you connect the positive indicator output to the earth side of the new indicator, which may or may not also be earthed through the body of the indicator stalk as well.
Try it yourself?
or just do the basics and test it before you connect it.

At least you had a win ... the smoke generator was working ...
