Silly question ... maybe ... BUT ... why do you need a Z900 oil filter if you have a z650 .. ??

Are they the same filter .. ??

As advised, went to the local bike shop and they ordered me one in. I assumed it was some special, ahrd to get, item and so didn't thik of the obvious!
So thanks, all.
Oh - I have both a 650C2 and a 900A4 too.
Cheers

rarish bikes travelling low miles makes them unlikely to be off the shelf. A lot of classic bike owners like me have them on their sheelves ready for a change, and simply want a replacement when they use them for next time so they wont be in a hurry.

Amusingly, the Z1 filter is a common car one. Kawasaki in their wisdom when building it for the US market thought they'd better use a filter readily available there.
