ole Lee Hurley fell off his perch in the last few days. There's a man who lived ate and breathed motorcycles and rolled up his sleeves so we could all have fun.
Thinking outside of the box was his forte, remember his events, the Sir Walter Rally, the Thousand Milers etc

Thanks for posting Spyda. Great Bloke, he put a lot of work into those 1000 milers, and were well organised, great rides. RIP Lee.

Sad to hear that - Lee organised and ran some great events. My first 1000 miler was in 1996 and the last was 2010, with a Southern Cross round NZ ride thrown in too. Always impressed how low key but totally organised he was, but wouldn't put up with any nonsense from anyone. His support team were a great bunch too.

I took the attached photos at the 2010 Grand Challenge briefing. RIP Lee.

That is sad to hear.
My first 1000 miler was '91 and last was 2009?!
Agreed, they were well organised events.
When I went to my first one I thought they were a pretty strange bunch. Who else has a club that organises great rides for other people to do?
