Honda set to launch Type R version of CB1300 heavyweight roadster
Our spies in Japan have been hard at it, digging the dirt on new model plans from the big four. And they’ve come up with this computer-generated picture of a new Type ‘R’ version of Honda’s CB1300. Inspired by the Race version of the CB1300 campaigned at the Suzuka Eight Hour race, the new bike has a neat half fairing, full race type forks from Honda’s SP-2 and an engine retune to produce 150bhp. A neat belly pan and saucy single seat cover rounds off the mods.

Nice piece of machinery :2thumbsup

My boss has its ancestor, the CB 1000 Big One. He bought it in Japan in 1997 with only 3000 k's on the clock. It had a Yoshimura proddy exhaust system, Dynojet kit and braided s/s brake lines and bought it for NZ$7000 from a showroom in Tokyo!! He's surprised a lot of modern sports bikes with its performance, so hopefully the new 1300 should be an eye-opener too. :p

I'm guessing its meant to be a retro look bike to stir the memory of one of these:

Only the headlight/fairing lets it down I reckon - everything else seems fine ! :sneaky2:
