Hey guys wondering if you can help, I’ve purchased a project bike with reg on hold so changed it into my name, when I did a stolen check on carjam all was good and didn’t check any other info but going back over the carjam report I noticed in vehicle type it’s class “B” exempt, which is strange as it’s a road bike maybe someone was trying to get out of having to WOF/reg it for the road so now I need to know how to or if it can be changed to normal type reg? Cheers

Ahh. You're back. Looking forward to seeing next project.

I'm going to guess some wise guy was trying to avoid the rego as people were railing against it.

I guess you have to walk into a VTNZ and get it sorted once that is possible.

Hi mate, I’ve been lurking in the background, done a couple more RZ’s one is a 84 done in Kenny R yellow. This next one is another 250RR, still playing with build ideas but will be 350 for sure.

I amsure that there is a form at your local sports shop that allows you to change the registration status, you will then be able to get a wof and pay the new rego-it sounds like the PO had the bike of Farm registration

Intruder VS.. When i lived in Gisborne some years ago, had a mate who was a farmer, he registered his RF900 as a farm bike got away with it for many years, think it was a tax dodge somehow

I know a couple of collectors up here who have all their bikes on farm regos. One of them even has a reasonably big garden.
