Kia ora everyone

I would like to get some luggage for my GN250. Ive been told by the shops its not really do able (aside from a small tank bag). I just want to be able to fit afew pairs of clothes, towel, and maybe some bits and pieces of kai for road trips. I dont need full on touring panniers but some space would be awesome. Unfortunately it doesn't have the extended grab rail that you can mount a top box to (if you are selling one please let me know).

Any thoughts on what i might be able to get away with? its a small bike but i dont need a crazy amount of space

Plenty of tailbags could strap on. My ex gf had a ventura pack rack on hers back in the day.

So. And I've probably told this story before. I went to the Derwent st rally in Wainuiaru wairarapa. The YZF750SP being a homologation special had a single seat. But with a towel over the seat hump I could adjust my panniers to suit. All was well and I stopped in Masterton to get supplies.

I arrived at venue Mid late afternoon.

Hi Dave. Traveling light. Are you not staying?

Yeah I have the tent just. . , . . Oh shit!

I knew just the long straight and the bridge that I hit at maybe 100kph. Because it was a public road and surely could not have been approaching top speed - as that would have been immoral.

I turned around and cautiously retracing my steps at barely 100kph I saw in the distance a black pile. Concerned that it would get run over I continued on at the legal speed limit.

As I approached there was a puddle forming and a satanic hissing.

I got back to the site with tears in the bags from the glass (was some disgusting looking gecko rtds anyway) and quickly downed the 'open' beers whilst pitching my tent. I had some pretty cool gravel rashed cans of DB export dry to show off later (jesus how did we drink such piss?).

After that, 'Throwovers' were never just thrown over. And glass was never transported again.

I made a Givi Luggage frame for my FJ1200. Using the luggage mounting square frames from an old Honda. I made up a mounting bar to suit My FJ. Got an engineer to weld them together and job done. All up it cost me a 24 pack of beer.

It IS possible ... and it needs not to be expensive.
