I saw a mufti cop bike in Wellington about 1973. We were going up the Ngauranga Gorge and he was ahead of me doing 100kph. The bike was a standard BSA, no fairing, and his clothing was a nylon two piece of the type common at the time. His helmet was not standard Transport Dept. The only reason I didn't overtake him was that he was wearing those boots that only a cop would wear.

My suspicions were confirmed when he waved at a truck to slow down and pointed at the front of his helmet where he must have had a Transport Dept badge.

I have always been pleased that the idea didn't catch on. Until now?

I always figured it was entrapment when a bike like this pulled in behind you on a nice bit of road in the UK.

yeah well... dont see why they need to hide, Lachy is a good bugger, think hes a KBer never meet Mark, but the chch crew are all good... what id like to see is the fuckers on the new rolly-chch MW at 6:30am-8... they would get enough income to retire... shit sake guys get the right pricks will ya :Police:

Hmm if people cant see a ferkin locomotive at a level crossing what chance does even a marked bike stand??
