I'm looking at buying a higher cc 2nd hand bike once I sit my full license early next year, from your experience, have bikes been discounted when the economy struggles? Or do bikes hold there value regardless of the economy?
Cheers.

Everything is going up.
Your best hope is to find one owned by someone who is struggling to make ends meet and show them a fistful of cash.
Makes it tough sleeping at night, though.

Agree. I think the bargain bike window has passed for now.

covid made a lot of people buy bikes, so they weren't sitting on a bus or a train with other people, Quite a few dealers are struggling to get stock at a good price.

If you see a bike, at a price you can live with, make a cheeky offer and buy it. Nothing is getting cheaper.
The bike market went into overdrive during covid and there are a lot of really good bikes less than 3 years old coming up for sale.
