YouTube apparently think we need to see this. After a week or so of it appearing in my suggestions I relented and watched it. I'm glad I did. YouTube were right.

Y'all may be familiar with Mr Sowman, I wasn't and that's my fault. It's apparent from the start that we're listening to a Kiwi. The production values are high and the story is interesting. It's well worth half an hour of your time.

Seems you're not the only one, it was in my recommended for a week too but your thread made me watch it. Fantastic story telling, even if you have little interest in MX. And judging by the comments on the video it would appear that many more 'casual or no interest in MX' people found the story riveting.

Pre dates the internet but i recall reading similar tales during the first European invasion - DeCoster, Robert, Geboers, etc. A line from cycle magazine quoting a local - "they used the (god forbid) FRONT brake"
