He is the endgame…
Now he is the newest resident of Belarus although his life expectancy is not compatible with the time it will take to file for residency.
What could possibly go wrong with a renegade mercenary with a private army of battle hardened convicts being stationed in a third world country that is “ looking after” Russian nukes….
The Guinness book of records has called in crickets best video referee to decide if he takes title of worst failed fake coup attempt away from Trump.
On a side note it could be a 4D chess move by Putin. Now right on the Polish/Lithuania border he has nuclear weapons and a loose cannon leader, plausible deniability anyone???
NATO will be shitting bricks over this outcome and there’s not much they can do about it.
As in the other post, look how fast things change when you open dialogue instead of the meat grinder of war…
Is it just me or are the names of the players in this Russia-Ukraine war getting harder to pronounce and spell by the day. Let's call them all Bruce. or Kevin for convenience's sake.
What an interesting turn of events. I thought the Hollywood script writers were on strike? Movie makers will be wetting themselves with excitement to make a movie of this fiasco.

Speculating to make some sense:
putin is in final stage, pallative care. (in his palace....but might take some time to die)
luka 'boldly and bravely' steps up and "saves" Moscow, now placed to be the new leader of the gang.
piggy given the vacant Belarus chair. (as self-declared, New President)
luka kept himself a very short arms length from being a belligerent participant in the war. Declares SMO 'finished'
West will remove sanctions if he promises to play nicely in future.
Shoigu and Gerasimov will be blamed for all 'Ukraine' war crimes and are sacrificed to ICC (but then fall out of windows before appearing)
The whole Moscow Mafia game gets back towards normal.

"dialogue"??
Nah, FSB had his family, or some support he expected did not materialise.

History is littered with examples of mercenary armies turning against their paymasters.
The results are generally not pretty.
Prigozhin has done better than most, being 'awarded' Belarus.

Maybe Wagner is looking for an army it can beat
It will set up base in Minsk
Perform security functions for the regime
And feast on the civilian population

Putin will not allow Yevgeny to live now, I would bet my left one.
which begs the obvious, will Yevgeny strike first?

There is a thought that comes to mind.
Putin wants Wagner to be under the auspices of the Russian conventional military.
Yevgeny initially didn't want to, but then agreed.
Why?
Wagner itself is probably not strong enough to stage a military coup.
But if the Wagner mercenaries are now integrated into the conventional Russian military and can whisper in the ear of anyone from the lowliest private to a disgruntled general - suddenly a force of 10 could become a force of 100.
I think both men are playing a game of Chess (or Chicken...) and seeing who blinks first.
Yevgeny is likely wanting to drum up support for a potential coup in the conventional ranks, whereas Putin wants to consolidate power. The success for each side will depend on skill, charisma and who can offer the better outlook.

It’s funny how so many of our leftist media outlets and fake book “ influencers” are fawning over progozen while ignoring all the other theatres of warfare Wagnar is involved in. They are all over Africa in various third world disasters where the cia would be if the budget allowed.
Some commentators were trying to say the CIA or mi6 have progozen in their pocket. They are ignoring that from day one he will have been surrounded by FSB and KGB political officers to be allowed to exist.
I feel this has all been a choreographed side show, what kind of nutta goes half way on a coup against a ruthless leader who can reach you anywhere and rub you out.
The west over believes in their own ability. The Russians (and Chinese) are avid students of history and are plenty of moves ahead in their thinking. If you think any Russian cheers for the collapse of govt and something new you’re dreaming. They’ve had two major “resets” and both times it didn’t end well and took decades to fix.

It only got "fixed" and ended well for a small minority. Every time, the russians have "reset" the end result is the same, but with different overlords. "Meet the new boss, same as the old boss"

The 2003 invasion of Iraq was a United States-led invasion of the Republic of Iraq and the first stage of the Iraq War. The invasion phase began on 19 March 2003 (air) and 20 March 2003 (ground) and lasted just over one month. The U.S.-led coalition sent 160,000 troops into Iraq.
vs 538,000 active and 650,000 reserves of Iraq.
Although Russias special military operation was supposed to take over the whole of the Ukraine in days or weeks at most .The 2022 invasion of Ukraine have now going on for over 1 year 4 months initially with at least 190,000 soldiers , Now with over 3000,000 active personal in Ukraine.
Given these facts
So who is it that over believes there own abilities? It's like that time you claimed to be an expert and said Russia would never invade Ukraine.
That goes down as epically stupid.

Now the dust has settled some interesting commentary has been made.
It seems it’s illegal under Russian law for a private mercenary army to be on Russian soil and/or for them to be supplied weapons/ammo direct by Russian state.
So that’s what the original hoopla was about when he was demanding ammo. Probably Anastasia from accounts was on maternity leave and unable to invoice supplies through the usual black market channels in time or the logistics weren’t there for the volume he needed.
So rightly so Shoigu refused to send ammo directly.
His deed done in bakmut he was told to move on to other business opportunities elsewhere and the troops could either return to civilian life or join Russian army.
Putin did smart thing by managing situation without major bloodshed. Apparently progozen turned around after a brief phone call about the 2400 spetznaz troops ahead and the 10,000 Chechen’s on flank ready to slaughter him.
There’s much speculation still about western Intel involvement either supporting or knowing what was about to go down. Take a minute just to think about the dangers of a civil war/insurrection happening to a major nuclear power during a time of war.

Basic bio is after a prison term he became a hotdog vendor(who knows what really could have been), somehow moved up into larger catering meeting Putin along the way. From there the right contracts flowed and eventually hired guns perhaps started paying more than wedding cakes.
But yes you’re pretty correct a thug with contacts and contracts.
A lot has been made of bahkmut but apparently he lost one men for every two Ukrainian while Russian forces using stand off attack weapons are 10-1 ratio the other way around.
Without the free supply of convict manpower it wouldn’t have worked out so well.

After his prison term he did start by selling street food. It wasn't hotdogs though, that detail was just for American consumption. He did set up restaurants one of which became popular with Putin and his buddies as you said. He then set up a major catering organisation. He also set up the St Petersburg troll farm, the IRA, which busied themselves with the 2016 US election among other things. The Wagner group operated in Syria and is currently believed to operate in Africa. I may be mistaken but I think the convict thing is recent. A reaction to Russia's massive military losses in Ukraine.
Putin is presumably offended by Preghozin's recent efforts as he has released information about how many billions the Russian state has siphoned off to finance the Wagner group.

It's not ten to one even if you include 9 Ukrainian civilians which Russiapurposely targets
