I can't get Spectro XL-1 anymore. I need a recommendation for light road dirt etc, I don't go offroad. Thanks, TC.

CT18 has been working for me for a long time. It's a bit more harsh than the standard car wash, but gets wheels and frames clean with a bit of scrubbing.
I have used Muck Off too, and that's great, but leaves a film that needs to be washed off with something else, like a standard car wash.
Rarely is it a one product process, in my experience.

Dunno if anyone has used a truck wash, yup, shampoo for lorries.
I used to use it in the UK when the bike was constantly covered in salt, crud and mud. Worked brilliantly. As Rastus said it's probably a bit harsh and I never left it long on the bike.

I use XT88. Foam it out of the waterblaster. Also use it to clean parts, the shower, any filters etc watered down in a squirt bottle. it will not shift thick oil and grease but any "wash" that does that is going to be a bit nasty. So I wash the bike with that and either wash the rims first with kero on a rag or do them after with fuelite or similar

I'm running out of detergent for the car and bike, thank you op.
Got my eye on this product, on special. 10ltrs / $44
Even if it's just an average cleaner, bloody good price.

Thanks for the heads up on XT88. It's fantastic stuff and even better than XL-1 Spectro. New Zealand made, too.

Recently had too much crud on front of engine, accumulated road grime/brake dust/road tar that was resisting usual bike wash/degreaser/wd40 efforts etc.
Mate put me onto the Yellow can CRC degreaser at Supercheap think called aero clean. It’s grungy as and the smell reminds me of MobilSol which I used to get free when carting their products.
Even a small amount deals to old dried up tar spots in hard to get spots on swingarm etc.
Detergent wise I normally just use Maguire or mothers car wash. A tip for degreased though some may not know apply first before bike is wet.
