I have already entered and have a basic route planned. 6 mysteries available this time, but I can only identify 3 of them. I think I know where a 4th is but will have to go for a ride and see.

Mystery 2 is a bit of an embarrassment as I go there often, but didn't recognise it. So far, for the route I've planned I will only pick up 3 and 6.

There are two other Mysteries in Southland and one in Otago. Will there be four in the lower part of the Island? I don't know, but I've looked in a great many other places for the Fire Unit, with no success. I'll keep looking. If you do find it, feel free to drop a hint!

It's not in Southland. If/when you do find it, check google street view, Shannon must have missed the google car by minutes.

From your mention of the fire unit, I assumed you meant the fire fighting mural (Mystery 1). But perhaps you meant Mystery 4.

I am pretty sure that 2 and 3 were photographed by Robyn Fisher, on her Kawasaki Vulcan, 4 and 5 were taken by Shannon, and 1 and 6 were taken by the same person on a Himalayan. As 6 is in Fiordland, I am assuming that 1 is also in that part of the country.

It is tricky because there is a new fire station in that town.

I think I now have all 6 mysteries. 2 of them do not show up on street view, so I will have to go on a scouting ride to check.

Well done. I'm doing my first scouting run this week, but looking at CPs and mysteries that I have excluded from my primary route. Its just to have a spare route available in case there is a major event closing the roads on my preferred route.
