If you're looking for decent boots at a moderate price, have a look at O'Neal Sierra WP Pro
I just tried on a bunch of different brands and fund them to be the most comfortable, with a great sole and at $288 seemed to me to be a cracking price.
I have your typical jandal-afflicted kiwi bloke wide foot and the likes of Dainese, Gaerne, AlpineStars, etc. always pinch a bit until they get well worn in, where the O'Neal's had a decent amount of width down at the toes. Lots of leather, good fasteners and padding - but a stretch to get a trouser leg over the top.
Good review here - all I could add would be the sole is great for walking, even with the full-length steel shank - rocks, trees, wet concrete - no bother.
