Hi all.. Jen here. Im Muzz67's sister. (Murray Trow) from Nelson

We are devastated to say that Murray passed away 2 weeks ago (Sat 22nd June) at 9.07pm.. aged 57 years young.

Murray had been battling brain cancer the past few months, which he had been coping with really well. Following the final round of chemo, he had a stem cell transfusion, but with 0 white blood cells to protect him, he developed a fever last weekend & ended up in hospital. He was admitted to the ICU on Tues & put in a coma on Wed. Mum & Dad flew to Christchurch to be with him on Wed evening & I flew down on Thurs. We spent time by his bed talking of his tramping trips to the bush he loved so much & all the fun times he had riding the bikes he loved so much. The wonderful ICU team did absolutely everything possible to help him get through.. but his poor body just couldn't fight any longer. We were all there holding him when he slipped peacefully away.

Murray absolutely loved adventure riding.. getting out in the back of beyond, meeting up with others, swapping stories, & kicking tyres.

We will be having a gathering for family & Murray's friends to remember him, at the Lake House, Olive Estate, Richmond @ 2pm on Sun 7th July.

If you would like to make a donation in Murray's memory, we would love for you to support Ranui House

Stay safe & hug your loved ones extra tight
Jen & family xx
