Not bikes but...

Y'all will be aware that SVG won his first NASCAR race last year and subsequently signed to race the Xfinity series this year. The Xfinity series is the undercard to the Cup series which is the main event. To date he has won three races, all on road courses, and his performance on the oval circuits has been improving. It's difficult because qualifying can the first time a driver gets to see the track. In the second half of the series though they revisit some of the same traclks.

Todays news is that SVG has been signed to drive for Trackhouse Racing in the Cup series for 2025. He will also drive in some of the remaining Cup races this year. Xfinity race on Saturday, Cup cars race Sunday.

TV3+ have been covering the Xfinity series this year. Hopefully they'll cover the Cup series next year.

Bugga! It won't let me change the thread title to caps.

It's been a real delight following both him and the reactions from the American drivers/teams/commentators over the past few months, and seeing him announce that on social media yesterday was fantastic (if not completely expected)!

He must be much happier having left behind the circus that Supercars has become.

I expect both he and Scott McLaughlin will win their respective championships in the coming years.

First race of the Xfinity series 'play offs' on the one and a half mile Kansas track which he hadn't seen previously, and despite his comms suggesting the car would not handle, SVG finished 8th.

In the play offs though it depends where the other seven drivers involved finished. The whole field is racing for the win and for the prize money, but only eight drivers are now racing for the championship. SVG is one of the eight.

SVG is on pole for this weekend's race in Charlotte. It's an elimination race in the championship but alas that doesn't men that much to me.

SVG finished 3rd but is eliminated from the title chase. He can still race and win prize money but he can't win the championship.
