Right so I have been using/testing a quadlock mounting setup for my phone on my new bike. CfMoto 450mt
Quite happy with the sleeve thing that the phone clips into and the mounting system is quite secure.
I started out with a handlebar mount with a double ram ball extension with an anti vibration attachment and a wireless charging mount on that. It was all good except for two things, the phone is a lot closer to my face than the dash which was not ideal as switching between them was not seamless compared to having it mounted above the dash where I moved it to eventually.
The second thing was the anti vibration attachment. This will turn your phone into a wildly gyrating fucken paint mixer! Whoever named this and/or tested it needs the sack. I cannot imagine a scenario where this would be useful. My poor phone had a spazzy and flicked madly from one screen page to another before going into standby (petrified) mode.
(Unless you are looking at getting a quadlock setup and are thinking of getting one. I have a secondhand one for sale, they are awesome!)
So I ended up with a small bar base, then the wireless/waterproof charger base attached and mounted on the bar above the dash display. Now it hardly vibrates, charges well and seems very secure. I know some people attach a lanyard as if the phone does happen to break free….well you know…

I've been using Quadlock gear for about 140,000kms spread across 4 bikes - most of it on a Triumph Tiger 800 XCx (including off road) but also a Sym Scooter and 2 Harleys and have found it very reliable. My only real issue has been dust getting into the phone cover where it mounts and slowly wearing away the meshing teeth. Ive used it with an Apple iphone 6, SE, SEII and currently a 14. I upgraded to an anti vibe attachment with the iPhone 14 2 years ago and no issues with the camera. I think the Ram mount contributed to your issues as it could amplify any movement.

I use a ram mount vibe-safe and the ram quick grip phone holder, works great, we just did a 1500km trip over some fairly rough terrain with no issues

Yep, so I tried the anti vibrate when I moved it above the tft screen and it still shook like mad. So I removed it and the difference was night and day. To qualify that a bit more in both cases I was riding on gravel roads in places quite corrugated but it was similar on seal…

I’ve been using Quad Lock with the anti vibe thingy on my bikes for quite a few years now. Initially it had the shakes then I put a thin O ring around the claw things that allow the mount movement taking most of the movement away and its been fine ever since. Handle bar mount on my Ducati & CB500X and above dash gps mount on the T7. Cheers.

The vibration damper is to protect the image stabiliser in some phones, mainly iPhones from memory. So it's designed to remove the frequencies that cause this, not necessarily the vibration that you see.

I nearly bought a Quadlock, but didn't like the case for my phone. Must sort out a mount one day though, but it's not a priority.
