Just in case anyone missed it, he has passed away. For those of us old enough to remember, part of the soundtrack to our generation.

Yawn.

(And I'm plenty old enough to remember).

(And I'm plenty old enough to remember). So for once I was curious and read your reply. Which served as a perfect reminder of why you're on my ignore list.

See that was your mistake. I leart never open his Trolling.

Did anyone, even briefly see that dreadful TV show where he played a stumbling confused old man?

He was younger than I am for the whole series and some. Sheesh.

[Something like]
"SHARON. Where are the Twizel sticks?

Ozzy, we haven't got any twizel sticks.

I remember them. I bought them back from the hospitality tent at Woodstock.

Ozzy, you didn't go to Woodstock.
And we lived in the UK back then.

And we've only been in this house for 5 years.

Oh.

S'alright. Found em. "

For once, the "final concert" really is the final concert. No coming back from that one. He had a pretty good run. I still have a cassette version of the "Masters of reality" album

Sabbath's iron man Ozzy has finally gone home to his mamma after being paranoid for many years that the war pigs were out to get him. Ozborne told his wife Sharon, "Evil woman don't you play your games with me, " when she once told him not visit Mr Crawley, a local bat specialist, he got on a crazy train and went anyway. Ozzy was well known for his liking for narcotics that he swears he saw fairies wearing boots once and thought they were children of the grave. The narcotics left him snowblind and he really did go into the void. We expect an electric funeral and a grave marked by a headless cross. The hand of doom touched the lord of this world and sent Ozzy to a hole in the sky.

RIP Ozzy

I'm not afraid of dying, I just don't want to be there when it happens.

Nod to Ozzy Osbourne.

If you wrote that, well played.

Black Sabbath (particularly Vol 4) were and are huge influences from my teen years. Of the Ozzy-era albums I generally reach for Technical Ecstacy these days (the production still sounds really thin but I like it) Also I really like Crazy Train. He was good at surrounding himself with really fucking talented musicians which helped - Tony Iommi, Zakk Wylde, Randy Rhoads etc.

Amazing run he had.

The best period of Ozzy for me was late Sabbath and first two solo albums.
A Great artist and Showman. RIP Ozzy

The sad thing is most people today only know Ozzy through the Osbournes and have never listened to Black Sabbath. But who knows, maybe they'll go online and have a listen. It's mostly available to stream.

Why is that sad? They were kinda before my time, but the Big Bopper and Eddie and the Smelly fingers, or whoever we're before yours. I'm sure you don't care of them?

Osbourne had a well publicised list of health problems and had been dealing with some for years. Alex Jones has commented that Osbourne developed these health issues after being vaccinated.

Andrew Yang former presidential primary candidate wrote, "RIP Ozzy Osbourne, a true American original." The post has since been deleted.

I do actually, some great music came at the start of the rock'n roll era.

My point was simply meant to be that to most people today, Ozzy was famous for being in a reality TV series, as you described so well.

Thanks. That was original comedy inspired to sound like it came from the show. I didn't spend much more time than adds watching it

A Christian viewpoint was uncomfortable with Satanic implications at the time. Now satan is my dirty bitch.

I had a girlfriend who was a big sabbath fiend despite being somewhat younger and a classical musician. I prefered Maiden and ACDC when i was a kid but grew out of both only to appreciate them later.
Dangerously I thought Dio was a better singer. I'm not going to admit that to her 30 years later as she's still a bf.

In terms of technical ability, Dio is a vastly superior singer.

In terms of impact and Legacy, Ozzy wins (but not by much)

That is Great! Cheers for sharing.

There is another prince that the royal family has being trying to give a send off, but he just doesn't seem to be getting the hint ;)

However, I understand that the kings guard are practicing the wham classic "Just pack your shit and go go" for when the big day finally arrives
