Sad.

Been around a long time. Were my preferred go to for a very long time.

New owners only had it a couple years didnt they?

They lose some of the manufacturer agreements? or is the market this shit down there now?. How many bike shops even left?
Moto Xtreme, McIver and Veitch, anyone else?

yea rick got sick and the new peoples took over, its been on the market but obviously hasnt sold.

the retail motorcycle world is a hard road at the moment , Veitches have the harley thing going for them but that niche in the market is getting older. young fellers cant afford a house deposit and a 30k bike

Thought they must be selling a few Enfields?

I lived in Mornington when they were in the old building on MacLaggan Street. Every night they gave me a wave when I rode past, seemed to be a right family affair.

Tried a couple of times to get that blue R1 off him but he wasn't having it.

Yeah I spoke briefly with Rick right around when he sold it - knew he had become unwell. a real shame.

Interesting.

There has been an article in the Otago Daily Times about these guys closing.

I had not realised the North Rd connection

They got the carcass of my GT550

And gave me money for it too.

Good Buggers, Sad to see 'em gone
