Maybe bikes like Bimota had their time when standard factory frames and suspension were skinny waterpipes with screen door closers. Now the factory stuff is so good that there's little room for improvement and a flash name no longer is worth the money

You are right of course, but by all accounts that motor is a real gem, and deserves a gem of a frame, both in function and looks. My Aprillia is my first Italian bike, and I enjoy looking at the beauty of the engineering almost as much as riding it :scooter:

From the way the article is worded, it sounds like they're only making a limited number of them.

A ZX-4RR is at the top of my list for my next bike purchase. It would be interesting to ride both bikes back to back if given the opportunity.

That's using logic to decide an emotional problem. Converting the Brit price to Pacific pesos is some $23,000 which is a chunk of change. There is an Edizione Speciale for about $33,500 for the careless rich.

The KB399 uses the standard Kawasaki disks but has Brembo calipers. Suspension both ends is Showa rather than Swedish but it does have more adjustment than the standard offering. Akrapovich supply the soundtrack.

Be cool if you've got the cash and can stand the discomfort. Yeah I'm old.
