you dont really even NEED to heat the meal up... some of the meas are nice cold ( others you couldnt fix with a blast furnace..)


you can sort yourself one out at most Army Surplus stores or camping stores ( i think R&R Sports sells a civillian version..)

Lucky buggers, ours used to have PatentedSecretMilitaryStuff in it that used to make you constipated for exactly a week before you went around behind a tree and laid a magnificent egg.

Main rule of safety was to be careful how much water you drank after trying not to break your teeth on the biscuits.

got to love FREDs, and our ratpacks come all camo green at the mo, and some of them are alright, cept that mushroom rissoto

Bugger, that green sauce was never identifiable. It used to come with the chilli sauce and other spreads. I used to love the chilli sauce, you could mix it with everything. Except I was put off it by my Sarg who put it in his coffee??????
