We all know some of the constabulary are ego trippers but this dude takes the cake! at least you'd see the sod coming! ( low slow flying UFO)
And imagine if they had access to this sort of patrol bike mmm?

the 'bird is a typical UK highway patrol machine. i wouldn't think they have too much trouble with runners. they also have rangie sports, bmw 540's, go-fast vauxhaulls, jags etc - they used to have cosworth sierras!. a 'bird would just be a toy for the boys.
until you drive on the M1 etc, you just don't realise how fast pommie drivers drive - 100mph all the time! last time i was over there we had a camry-type toyota, and i was staggered at how hard the fast lane was going.

I remember going down a slight hill on the motorway in my little Punto back in England, and had a semi over take me. I was doing 80mph..
The speed there averages just like here. everyone does a bit over the limit. But the limit there is 70mph, so everyone does 80 or so.. convert that to K's, and it's a fair pace. Then you come and live here, and the whole place just feels chilled out. Go to the UK, and everyone feels like it's such a rush..

That second picture is scary... imagine our highway patrol got hold of those! No more slightly longer trips home from work for me.

is that for the isle of mann tt?
love the paramedics with knee sliders! Now that's a job.. just don't get too involved and become a patient themselves! Could you imagine sticking the sirens and lights on, then overtaking the racers to get to a scene? That'd be funny..

No mate...
Speed limit is 70mph (112kph) but you'll only get ticketed if you go over 100mph. So average speed on the motorway is about 95mph (152kph).
Some people will take a chance and go higher, up to around 120 (193kph) - 130mph (209kph) but getting caught at that speed is instant ban material.
I got a new car a while back while still in the UK, took it out for a test ride at 4am, and 'may' have acheived speeds of twice the national speed limit over here, wasn't unsafe thou... drive to the conditions, when they change increase your speed!

been a while since i was last driving there, but I remember 70 was for wusses and the slow lane..
Several times in other cars, I was able to achieve a higher cruise rate. Likewise, one kind stretch of the A1 at 3am saw my 'home time' cut in half..

Oh Gawd, don't go there . Wasn't it Ms Placidfemme who wanted coloured sprockets to match her leathers or some such.?
Remember those coloured tyres a while back. If this sort of thing catches on all the chicks will be wanting to change their tyres to match their lipstick!
