can you recommend a yamaha XT500/ SR500 mechanic?

hey.
i need an SR 500 engine stripped dowm and checked.
i'ts an ex-race bike motor and i'm told it is fresh, but i'd like someone to take a look and see before i fit it to the bike...
i have all the parts, just need someone who has good experience with these - and can do the job in a couple of weeks.
anyone know of someone?

Friend down here that I sold my 1980 XT500 to has a couple of TT500's that he is restoring & one of his worker's does the motor work for him could ask if ya like what's involved & how long

Spectrum, just behind Boat Bits in Barry's Point Road, is your answer. They do really good work on that sort of engine and are very reasonable. Only mechanic I've ever come across who gave an estimate before the work then undercut that after it was done.
