I was :ride: along Dominion Rd today in the bus lane (it was after 4 PM so it was a clearway period) and some dickhead cager was following me! :weird: :nono:

After passing through Balmoral, I merged back into the traffic to avoid the bus that had stopped ahead and since traffic was flowing freely, I decided to remain in that lane. Meanwhile, said dickhead cager had returned to the bus lane and flew past about 3 or 4 of us to get to the front of the queue. Gave me a bit of a fright as it was rather unexpected. :sweatdrop He was in a company vehicle too - a bright red wagon with 'Total Fire Protection' written on the back.

I was hoping to see a parking warden (?) with his camera and tripod set up photographing cagers that break the bus lanes rules but alas, no such luck. :argh:

Rant over.

The sky is blue, the grass is green, a lot of cagers are ignorant fools, a bike has two wheels.......... get used to it.

The number of threads on this topic is getting a bit stupid.....:argh:

ring the company and complain to the boss... am sure the driver will be having a word with the boss

...still, it's lucky he didn't hit you.

I'd call them tonight and leave a message on their answerphone... someone is bound to get back to you tonight, or Monday.

I nearly got wiped off my TR50 a few months ago by a courier; he slowed down coming up to a stop sign, looked, and went. I had right of way. He missed me by about a foot... I rang the company, who took my details down. Some supervisor called me back, saying that he'd contacted the courier (who admitted he was completely at fault) and that the courier's bonus for that month was to be deducted (approx $400). It was also going on his record as a complaint.

At the end of the day, it's just bad advertising for any company when their reps driving badly... pick up the phone and do something about it. Along the same lines as people complaining about 'over-zealous' police - if enough people complain about one person's behaviour, the company should do something about it if they care about their public identity.

Yeah, but I feel a bit foolish because I'm not sure if 'Total Fire Protection' was the company name or a tagline.

It just pisses me off because I regard bus lanes as our domain - cagers need to stay the hell out of them during clearway periods because to be honest, I get a reasonable amount of satisfaction seeing all those tin-tops stuck in peak hour traffic whilst I cruise past. :niceone:

It's the least they can do for all the times they've nearly killed me. :motu:
