Are we allowed to use the Bus lanes

Motorcycles can use the Auckland City bus lanes. See clause 25.5.5 of the Traffic bylaws (http://www.aucklandcity.govt.nz/council/documents/bylaw/part25.asp#5).

I use the ones on Mt Eden Road most mornings, but keep a close watch for cars pulling left before side roads!

Thanks when I rang ltsa they said no only 13 seat vehicles then I rang again and they said not sure the council may let you but check with your local council.

By rights they oughta allow it - same goes for commuter lanes. If more people rode bikes, used public transport or car pooled there would be a lot less traffic congestion !!

Just to make things simple in Britain it varies from place to place,I cant where I live,just up the road in a different county I can.In bigger cities where you cant some of the buses are equipped with cameras to catch those that do.Where I live the Police often hide cameras to catch those using bus-lanes but I`ve also seen buses cut across traffic to get through a a set of lights in the non-bus lane when those in the bus lane have been on red,hey that`s fair,bastards.
