Is it just me or is anyone else getting slightly jaded? Yeah, we're all outraged and pissed off at things that get brought to our attention or happen to us. But what, if anything, are any of us actually doing about any of these things? I don't want to just sit back and whinge about the injustices of the world, I want to do something. I just don't know what to do or how to go about doing it.
What are your thoughts?

Nah, not world hunger - I'm not running for Miss World (just running after her - too .. fast ... crawl..ing ..) Sorry - back on topic...

I mean the "$1300 in fines" and "...watch your asses" "Boy racers busted" threads...
I dunno. There have been (it seems) so many threads of late about shit that's happened in the news or to KBers that it just seems like a huge whinge. And it's not a whinge at whingers, it's just that I feel like I want action. Not a protest march or dumbass petition but some f*cken thing.... I dunno

I think I sort of get what you mean. But I think you need to realise the dynamic of the biking fraternity. Biking is on the whole a pleasurable experience, and the minor gripes we have, are just that..... minor.

If you were an oppressed dark skinned person living in atrocious conditions, you may rally a huge group of people to march in protest of your appalling treatment.

If you were a homosexual, threatened by endless "gay bashings", and prejudices, you may do the same.

Perhaps you might be appalled at the governments legislation regarding the exclusion os special needs children from public schools etc etc, you could do the same

I dont think the biking fraternity's "issues" are worth the effort of all this fuss, we stop every now and ,and vent by having a bitch and a moan, and then hit the road the next day, and have a primo days twisty road action , and forget about it all.

I can honestly say I have not been victimised by the boys in blue, nor ever treated as a hooligan, and I couldn't tell you any woes I have that would warrant "action".

Is this what you mean?, or have I missed the point entirely once again

Yeah, that's pretty much it. I haven't been treated badly or had hassles either, apart from a ticket the other day for not wearing a seatbelt. Which I can justify because I ride a bike, oh yeah that excuse worked!!
I dunno maybe it's just one of things. You're right I should just ride it off. Oh wait I can't the bike's in bits!
Ahhh I get it now, this is therapy... rant, get it out, and carry on. I'm going out to put my bike back together.

I can relate to you very well, trust me, I guess I am old and cynical, but yes, I do actually share your view.

Has anything really changed? What is missing from the site?

The only thing that seems to be missing in recent times is the lack of death or serious injury to any KB members. Such events do tend to get us "all on the same side" and focused on what really matters, rather than the petty gripes.

If the lack of such motivation makes us all jaded, then I for one am happy to be jaded.
