Just saw "The World's Fastest Indian" with Anthony Hopkins tonight and loved it. I recommend it to all, bikers or not, it's a great kiwi movie.
Anyone else seen it, have thoughts etc?
Tim Shadbolt cracked me and most of the audience up, classic. :D

I just thought it was an alternative spelling of scabby - probably is!
Glad you enjoyed the movie, well worth the ticket price.

Was a great movie and a great advertisement for NZ. Just goes to show just how far Kiwi ingenuity (sp) will get us. Also I got the impression that he had the luck of the Irish :niceone: and he was an awesome bloke and a good role model :done:

Haha, you got it.. although I prefer "accented" ;)

I definitely enjoyed WFI: I thought Tony Hopkins did a decent job with the material (grumpy old iconoclast etc). When you go, try and make sure you get a theatre with a decent sound system because the motorbike noise completely rules.
Some great cinematography too, the "on bike" shots, and the shots across the salt flats are amazing.
and ol' Burt got a lot of sex for an old boy... good for him.
I bet he wasnt quite the lovable old duffer as portrayed on screen, but of course, portraying him any other way would defeat the purpose.
Hopefully it will travel well. One of the people I work with had NO idea what the film was about: in fact thought it was a cowboy story......
go see it.
