Read the Story first before looking at the picture.
This is an actual emergency room photo of a gentleman who lost control
of his motorcycle on a country road in West
Virginia. Troopers believe that he was travelling at a
speed of approximately 75 mph at the time of the accident.
He was unable to negotiate a curve in the road.
Unfortunately for him, upon striking the ditch and being ejected from
the bike, he landed back end first on a fencepost from an old barnyard
fence that was downed on the side of the road. You can probably picture
what happened next, but the attached picture really says it all. This
picture was obviously removed from the trooper's files without
permission. The good news is that after about 6 months, this man made a
full recovery after suffering a shattered hip, broken leg, several
broken ribs, internal injuries, and "soft tissue" damage.Doctors
credited his recovery to the fact that the post lodged itself so tightly
that there was little or no blood loss.

Yeah, at Puke the concrete slabs kindly bounce you back towards the track so that you don't get taken up the ass by any sneaky bits of wood behind them...awesome...
I don't think either scenario is ideal...Hampton Downs looks safer from memory.
Christ that picture is sickening though :puke:

Good point.
I still think a race track is the safest place in the world to ride at.
Can't wait for Hampton Downs to be ready.
But hey Cheenic Dwive's:love: free:headbang:

Ahem..it's fake in terms of it's not a motorcycle accident.
It's one of several horrific photos circulating the interweb that are attributed to motorcycle crashes, including the moron who blew his face of by biting a blasting cap (and he lived).

that's been posted before, and the explination of it was that he was a truck driver who ran off the road and went thru a fence. As it turns out the fence went thru him. If you think about it, what speed must he have been going on a motorbike to wedge a post that big thru his body? Or did the cab of his truck force him onto it as it came thru the floor?
The story told also says that he made it for a couple of days then died of infection. I think Speedy told the story on that..
