View Full Version : Things I enjoy about work

Well, I enjoy many things about my job, but one of the things I enjoy most is looking out my office window on the third floor straight down onto the motorcycle carpark. I can watch my baby all day if I feel like it. I can watch others baby's too if I feel that way inclined.
At the moment the regulars are there: a blue SV1000, a brand new Bandit 1200 and my little SV. I also know that not far away there is an Aprilia Falco (bugger about the scratch marks down one side that appeared very recently) and a brand new blue VTR250.
In the course of the day, there is usually a red VTR1000 Firestorm with playboy stickers on it and the odd GN250.
Anyone else lucky enough to be able to watch their bike all day?

Sitting here, reading KiwiBiker all day! :niceone:
Yes, I have work to do. I just figure if I ignore it, then it will ignore me = Status Quo.

i have photos of my bike as random desktops, but my bike is either praked at home in the gargre, or under the building. But I like work cos it gives me time for KB and other shtuff, and I get a discount on my home phone and internet and all I have to do is turn up here most days. :bleh:

errrrrrrr nope.
I have to close the blinds or the light makes the screen unreadable - beside... the view out ain't the best considering I'm on the ground floor looking out at a hedge/wall combo between me and the halfway house next door...
Good job though - great boss...

I enjoy being paid to "road test" quality automobiles, found a good local road for "road testing" on too
I just need to pop round the side of the building to look at my bike, but it's not much to look at really, there's sometimes a GSXR750 across the road to look at though, and a bike shop just up the road

I hate my job. No windows, bad aircon, talk to random peaple that insult me. The only time I like it is when another biker picks up the phone. Always end up talking about the ride lol. SometimesI wonder if I've talked to anyone on here or aybe some new members sign up becouse I called them from work.

I like my job. I get to sit on KB often enough and when bored I can just go out for a wee ride claiming I need to do something. And I get away with it.

How do you know there a biker? Is it one of the questions you guys ask or have you throwen it in there after "This call may be monitored for bla bla bla..."
Kind of a sixth sense sorta thing. Sounds silly but I bet more than half of you on here know what I'm talking about. Ever seena guy or gal walkin down the street and thought, "they ride" or been talking to someone and got the same feeling?

The view. Both J and T are drop dead gorgeous. Although J was wearing her heavy time of the month dress today **ahem**.
Oh, and I also enjoy the fact that I'm no longer in the IT industry.

Anyone else lucky enough to be able to watch their bike all day?I can, but I have to walk a few paces to the window. Often when on my cellphone at work I will walk over to the window just to look at my Bird. We have allocated carparks so the motorcycles are never in the same park together, currently there's mine, a Suzooki Bandit 600, and a blue 04 636 scattered in different parks. The most I can remember at once in the carpark together is the Bandit, 2 x Yammy TRX850's, a ZXR250, and mine...a sight to behold if you're bored at work that's for sure. :spudwow:

When I ride to work, I make a bike park. It is a magnet for other bikes that want to park beside it. But those bikes don't stay long, only visiting.
I sit 2 metres away, facing my bike. So when you see a bike parked in front of mirrored windows, I am watching you. :spudwave:
We ( my workmates & I) have some great entertainment at times, watching the drooling that goes on from all the passerbys. :headbang:
