My 650 V Strom fuel guage. one of those digital sort of things that flashes at you as it gets empty has suddenly decided to not light up the top bar when the tank is full,
Only about 7000Ks old and bloody annoying as it makes me lose confidence in the reading.
generally i zero the oddometer thing anyway as previous bikes never had the luxury of a guage.
should this be covered by the warranty?
do any other Suzuki riders have similar probs with fuel guages?
Would appreciate any help here before i go back to the dealer to complain.

I've got one on my FXR, up to almost 10,000k with no real probs. It seems to leap through though, one second you've got quarter tank, the next you're verging on empty. I think that's more a design flaw though, very few bars on the screen. Mechanically speaking it might be the gauge in the tank being a little sticky at the top for some reason, if you could reach in or slide it out and free it up it'd probably be okay. Even giving the tank a damn good slosh to force it up might work. But ultimately I can't see it being a real issue if it still lights the rest of it up and diminishes logically.

I had miss reads on my Bandit guage (analogue dial).
The LCD ones use the same type of sensor, though.
Poor connection at the tank cable or at the sensor under the tank (spade connector).Try reseating the connectors and some CRC helps too
