During my 4 hours of cage confinement today, I saw what I thought was a Bimota YB11. I think thats the beast with the modded Thunder Ace engine, and man it was covering some ground, just outside of Renwick, heading back towards Pelorus.

Do Bimota still make bikes?, I must admit, I have had a soft spot for them ever since I sat on a DB1 at Bob Haldanes.

Yeah I think they do. www.bimota.it I believe. They're not aggressive enough looking for my liking.

I didnt get to see alot of it, if there are only 3 in NZ, I'd say my chances of seeing one would be slim-jim. It was most definitely a Bimota, I may have choked on the model identification.

MAybe, maybe not. The first was imported privately, then WMCC brought in a std red and white one and the silver and blue anniversary. No reason some Auckland poser couldn't have bought one.

I was heading that way, maybe I did get it right. Whatever it was, it was most spectacular looking, and sounded amazing.

My brother spent a season or so working in vinyards in Germany. Some of these were on the side of a valley opposite the Black Forest.

There was a Bimota dealer in the nearest town and the road along the valley floor was used as a road test track by the mechanics. Although not in to bikes my brother said the sounds they made stirred the soul...
