OK everybody lets start the annual thanks to Prime for showing the Moto GP, it may have been delayed but at least we saw it:banana: And to top it off my daughters pick at the beginning of the season won the 125 championship (thats Thomas Luthi if you didn't know). The only downside is she wants us to shift to Switzerland.
Any way a big thanks to Prime is on its way from us:2thumbsup

Prime undertook to show MotoGP live. They showed less live races than Tv One shows live F1 races, which is the mark of a business that I wouldn't use. Don't make promises you can't keep. The second half of the season I downloaded on a pathetic 128kbps DSL link before Prime showed them on telly. You don't have to celebrate a half-arsed job, just because they deigned to ocassionally show a race live.

Thank you Prime for showing Top Gear... even though there aren't any bike bits and Clarkson hates bikes...
Can we have it a bit closer to the broadcast date in the UK though, instead of having it about 6 months later???:bash:

Can someone post the email addy to send a thank you to?
Not everyone thinks the same way as Jim2. I don't know why they stopped showing it live (guessing $ & time slots), but much better than tv1 showing 5 minutes of the races weeks later (which is more than what I've seen of superbikes for years - I ain't paying but may have to next year if Prime decide to drop full coverage & sky pick it up).

Anyway, thank you Prime.

Cheers Jim! Probably the best show on telly - well not now that the seasons finished...
I'm still getting over "the bike show" (Triangle TV before the fishing show). That's the bloody programme I innocently stumbled upon one night and now I'm bloody well back on a bike and on KB...
Someone has a bloody lot to answer for!!!!!!!!!!:blip:

Anyway, thank you Prime. Yamaha NZ paid a small fortune to sponsor Live broadcasts of MotoGP. Without them it would never have been on Prime, and Prime shafted them. If it's not back next year Prime will claim ratings and that the principal sponsor dropped them no longer supports MotoGP free to air. They didn't advertise the schedule correctly, they changed things, dropped things, and then just didn't bother. You should be thanking Yamaha, not Prime.

My only complaint is when they reverse the race order so you're watching MotoGP and the half arsed commentators make comments about the winners of 125 and 250's.:argh:

Prime has a done alright.
Yes I don't like the race order, but I have had no problems following the season.
We should support it and make suggestions not just send rude emails, that gets peole nowhere and is boring.
I think Yamaha where really cool to cover costs and I certainly have heard nothing about them being upset at all with Prime.
I really get a bit bored with people who moan, this is why I avoid group gatherings around bonfires and the like,
good luck
cheers

While I agree, did a lot of ear-plugging during the main race throughout the season, I certainly don't blame the commentators. As far as they're concerned the earlier races have been seen. It certainly not their fault Prime reversed the order.

As for those of you picking on Jim2. He's right. The moment there has been league, we've been given the shaft. I'm sure Yamaha (who as Jim2 points out are the one's who have actually put up the money to bring us the MotoGP) are probably not too pleased either with their investment being moved and fucked with willynilly.

While they may have thought that they were doing it for us (putting the main race first so we don't have to stay up late), IMHO the majority of us would prefer if they stuck to the proper format. If they want the main event to be a little earlier they could always start the whole thing closer to it's actual time. Also showing the after race interviews and more of the leadup (the latter of which they did for Valencia).

Having said all that there are some things they do right. Showing the races at all, showing the races without ads during the actual race. And that is something they should be commended for. But just kissing their arses indescriminately isn't going to help them know how to improve things.

I'm personally seriously considering getting a subscription for next season. Would be nice to be able to actually watch it live, plus all the other areas of MotoGP.com that open up to payed members. The only thing which will stop me is if Prime sort their shit out.

I purchased the footage to the motocross world champs from MediaZone and more than half the time I have no commentry for the first race, maybe some interviews and if they talk to some team or showcase some bike tech between races it's not translated into english.
And the same for the SuperMoto coverage.

Not to mention having to watch the footage on a bluddy windows pc and it has to be online and I have to enter my username and password every time...

But I got to see them 2 weeks before Prime and 3 before One.
