Has anyone seen headlights like the one in the photo attached?

Im kinda thinking of headlights I could use that look a bit different...I kinda like these (not everyones tastes - sure). I have checked around a fair bit and have seen the super-motard/alien ones you can get like on www.sportsbikesnz.co.nz, but arent quite what im looking for.

An alternative are the HID ones that flash (pardon pun) BMWs and late model sports cars use. Might have to checkout Repco etc. Im sure they are mega expensive though.

Note: the bike is a Hyosung Comet 250GT with what appears to be a VFR400 NC-30 swingarm/wheel. Tail has been shortened too. Interesting spoiler above the lights too.

ps - not moding my current bike, thinking about early nineties 400 (FZR400RR/CBR400 maybe) or 600-750 (maybe CBR600, ZXR750).

Pic? Pic?, er er

Your right, "not everyones taste" - but anyway, I haven't seen anything like that before. They could be a custom job. A good engineer would be able to fabricate the bracket for you - that way you can fit whatever lights you want.

Looks like Acerbis Cyclops, and the last thing I'd heard they'd been withdrawn from the export market because of a number of legal and compliance import issues in foreign lands, like. There was a bulletin put out by NZ Customs banning their importation on their internal network about 6 months ago.

Wooo, thats bad. Thought the cyclops had a mini fairing, but I get confused often. I even thought of getting the Hyo 650R headlights but apparently they are more like $1000+.

Heh heh, I've got a Cyclops on the ZXR :)... It looks nothing like that stacked one... Tell the truth Jim2, they banned the cyclops coz it was ugly and kinda freaky looking.

I was thinking about removing the lights from the bracket and making a new fairing blade to mount them one above the other for something a little different.

Anyway, I got mine for $200... Hard to do better than that !

Sedge.

You're right it's not a Cyclops, but it looks great.

I noticed while looking at this auction for a damaged XB-9R:

http://www.trademe.co.nz/Trade-Me-Motors/Motorbikes/Motorbikes/Sports-tourer/auction-40111921.htm

that it has the kind of lamps that I want. Would have to make up a bracket to stack them vertically. Will have to chat to Rashida (?) about how bright they are. I know the XB12S headies are only $140 new from the states...

Just an update:

I have spent WAY too much time thinking about this but I have come up with this solution:

I have found a car that has the style of lights that I want (see image), the A31 1989 Nissan Cefiro. Obviously Im not interested in the whole assembly but just the bulb units.

Now Im assuming that the lowbeam light and high-beam lights shouldnt be a problem to align WOF-wise...so there shouldnt be any other probs eh? I dont think they are HID ones...

The only hurdle Im expecting is making brackets for them.

Thanks

Not sure ill do it to my Hyobag. Maybe to a Hornet 900 if I get one. Have to make it a little more interesting eh? (including a CBR900RR single exhaust mod).
