WARNING: RUGBY COVERAGE FRIENDLY RIDE
Weathers looking good for Sunday. Anyone keen for a ride to the Borough of Martin (not SB)? Im keen to watch the coverage of the All Blacks playing in Ireland so I would like to meet after that. I think the rugby replay on Sky goes from 9:15am (9:30am kick-off) to 11:00am...so meet at Caltex Rimutaka at 11:20ish?
Anyone keen??? (hopes SOMEONE is keen).

My nuts are safe. I actually tried out a couple of sprot bikes and was tempted with a 1200 Bandit but no.
And not a German Tank either (but a good guess)

Would love some ride time.
The ride maybe abit late for me!
I'm not one for the scraps, so 3.30 I'll be watching - followed by the kiwis vs GB.
WGTN riders, do know that the frigate is being sunk at 3pm tomorrow.
Perhaps a local ride ending up on the south coast at 3pm could be a goer, I'm planning on parking up and watchin!
Whats the thoughts?

I reckon we could head to the Borough, chuck a coffee down, a relatively traffic free return over the hill and then get back in time for the sinking of the old girl.

Sounds like a good idea. I am going to tape the rugby and watch it at 8.00 so can go riding earlier.
Oh, and picked up my new bike today - just rode it home from Taranaki - its so smooth and comfy.....

Me and Mrs S are planning on heading to the borough around 9:30ish and then heading back to see the 69er go down.
Chances are the swell will be to big tomorrow and it won't happen anyway.

It was a bit windy but that didnt stop us disturbing the tranquility that is the Wairarapa. Woo we were rampant...there were children crying and the villagers will sing about this act for generations. Had a nice chocolate brownie in cafe though. Yeah, whilst the company was excellent (nice bike sels1, good to meet you Simon) the wind kinda ruined it for me.
LBTW and I were syncronised 'banking' due to the wind along the Upper Hutt straights. Sorry for loosing you hsvboy06...we stopped and waited at one stage but you musta got caught at the lights and that slow crap traffic. Besides I think a leaking head gasket kinda ruied it for limbimtimwin too (at Kelson). Cut the avo a little short :).
Next time boys. Did you get that sinking feeling Dafe? How was it?

Yep - I got caught at some lights and you guys disappeared off into the distance. No prob'. I did see you later at a turn off the main drag (Kelson?) but I spotted you too late to change lanes and follow you.
I tried to go and view the sinking but by the time I got there the traffic was jammed - literally. Even on a bike I couldn't move (and my bike's not big). I saw some smoke, but that was all.
Then I had to battle the wind back home - was pretty exhausted by the time I got back, and dare I say it, pretty glad to get my sore ass off the bike.
An enjoyable ride none-the-less. It'll probably be my last this year - all my weekends are booked out with intolerable family birthday and Xmas functions - but I'll definitely be looking back here for rides in the new year.
Thanks!
