I have photographic evidence of the world's fastest Maori......
YES, we do slack off a fair bit @ work....but we had a few friday beers then this theory about charging an electric scooter by pulling it along.......turns out that:
a) the bearings start smoking at approx 65km/h
b) The Maori starts crying at approx 65km/h.
c) I don;t stop laughing for......3.5 hours now.....

Never ever tie two wheel vehicles to anything for towing purposes! Sheesh.
I bet you won't do it twice. John.

Why not ? I've been towed home hundreds of kilometres by another bike, and , also, towed bikes home for ditto. No probs so long as both riders know what they're doing. Car towing bike si a bit trickier, bike towing car is OK, apart from the obvious weight/power issue. But I've done it.

I got towed on a K100 Kawasaki from AK to Putaruru.
Nothing to it.

If you (and the car driver!) know what you're doing it's not a problem.....
But please note - the skoota was being towed around the industrial park at work not for any particular reason other than we were dreaming up plans to stave off boredom @ work, having finished the weeks jobs early on friday!

BSA A10 towing a Fort Prefect . Helped to have a bit of a downhill to start off , and the Beeza was on sidecar gearing. Worked OK, don't know that I'd have wanted to do it too far , but the old BSAs were pretty tough.

Its the tying on that I am referring to, have witnessed some very nasty incidents but whatever smokes your tyres as they say. I wont do it without some form of very quick release. Cheers John.

I must admit that all my experiences witnessed and doing have been on gravel roads and it was not pleasant at all. One instant in particular was very messy. Cheers John.

For whatever reason, one of the insurance exclusions on our rental bikes is for towing anything.

That is the standard on most rental vehicles. Insurance would go through the roof with renting vehicles with towbars.
