Found this http://www.rideforever.co.nz/ride_smart/control_cornering.html while flicking through the net. I've only read a little of it, but hey it's NZ based, offers help in a number of areas so hopefully it's relevant to some out there.

Liked the bit about judging your max lean angle by leaning until your footpeg or foot touches the road. Obviously done in the right conditions!!


Apply yourself. Learn to judge the available bank angle of your bike by increasing it until either the footrest or the outer edge of your boot toe touch the road. Only try this when the road surface is grippy and tyres warm and in good condition.

Yes it's a bl**dy good site for newbies and returning riders IMHO.

Others have probably noted it elsewhere but they are going to be providing a free DVD on group riding soon.

A bit of stuff from the NZ "Biker's Bible" there which I plan to get a copy of.

I like the stuff on the "Zen" of riding.

Like any source of info I am sure there is stuff there that people will disagree with but well worth a look.
