View Full Version : Decals for desperately sad teenagers?

What is the world coming to?
I went into a couple of bike shops in the weekend & they both had an array of stickers depicting [adjusting the lingo] Babes in bikinis or nurses outfits etc.
Lethal labels or some such nonsense. One was some lass on a ‘chopper’. Didn’t even have a helmet. :nono:
I mean these were the most tragic sad-act stickers, worse even than skull head bolts or Live to Ride belt-buckles.
My question; Who the hell is buying these things? What the hell are they sticking them on? Are there bikes around with these on their sides?
Sparky etc I know these things are in plain view. What’s the skinny?

Easy big boy - those skull bolts/rings/other skull motif things are c-o-o-l!!
But the rest I see your point!

What you tryin to say? I thought these were cool! So much so I was going to plaster my own bike with them to make it even more readily identifiable and easily traceable by anyone that should happen to want to trace it (pt)
I like the idea of some, but you kinda need the cool bike to go with it first - like a custom chopper... they don't do it on a GSX250.

Don't they add 5hp per sticker?
madboy
14th November 2005, 12:42
Don't they add 5hp per sticker? No, that's bike performance/manufacturer part stickers, i.e. Pirelli gives you extra 3deg lean angle, K&N extra 5hp... the stickers Dave is talking about give you an extra cm per sticker... you can guess where the cm is needed.

Ahhh, I see. I don't really want to guess where.

Well.. yeah sorry I'll put the 'real' pic of my bike back on.
The neons actually output so much light that they lift the bike. Kinda like those ion drives the K7 gixxers are getting.
edit: I think those stickers are for the gheeey mini shoppers you see around. Hopefully a fad that dies soon (pun awfully bad... I know). The tough looking stickers give 'jake_the_muss +1' while riding. They don't work as well on Holdens though.

Comon, its just the next generation outdoing the previous with rebellion and controversy. Thats half the fun of motorcycles, wearing black leather, deaffening neverby pedestrians, riding at insensible speeds, glaring headlights, etc

Exactly the kind of comment I would expect from somebody with NO taste who is jealous of a man with impeccable taste, skull rule and you know it baby!!
Come down to the Magpie Madness and I'll give you a few tips on the proper wearing of skull related apparel and bike decoration, you'll just ooze good taste and be the envy of all afterwards (and be grateful to me for eternity for your new found mana!)!!

By decorating their bikes with ridiculous cartoon pictures of women they will never obtain? How is that rebellious? Strikes me as desperately sad. :spudbn:

hey I don't do it but just trying explain to these relics the sub logic behind. This thread proves the controversy bit anyway.
Its basically everything a mother would(n't) love. Skulls are so 80's.
