I went for my first ride this afternoon after minor surgery last month and it was GREAT! Beautiful sunny day, definitely not expected after all the thunder, rain and wind yesterday.
I just rode up to Palmerston North and back, only saw two bikes on the trip - one in front of me and one heading south - who didn't wave! Several cars flashed to warn me of the cop in Shannon, so thanks.
Who else got out for a blast today? Where did you go?

Beemer - welcome back into the saddle.
Yeah I went for a cruisy ride today, as I had to scuff in the new rear tyre and the new front brakes. But first I renewed the WOF and Rego for another 6 months.
Then I headed up 16, up Old North Road, then turned into Peak Road...
Then turned off to go to Orewa for lunch at McDon's. (thats the last of the FREE vouchers that they gave me after my fall in the Wellsford shop)
Headed back down and turned off at Diary Flat across to Kaukopakopa to Helensville and back down 16.... Back at Westgate I shot down (Frosty's patch) Don Buck Hill.. then home...
It was lovely out riding in the sun...
I did however spot two cops up in Orewa...
BUT when I was heading down Don Buck Road a cop car shot up the hill with lights flashing. Then I spotted another cop car at the bottom of the hill... plus the eye in the sky (cop helicopter) was up there as well.. so something was happening up near Massey High School way.

Good to hear ya bake on the seat Beemer =) ... only ridin I did was the same as zeRax ... rode to work and back.. though its a good 45 min ride.. though abit cluttered on the way back... saw a driver of a 4x4 overtaking like he was in a car that actually had power.. then realising oncoming traffic and the fast diminishing space.. so he ''expects'' other road users to let him back in the lane.. he did this a few times while I was following him.. thought it was a better idea to be infront of this looney.. so I past him... had another encounter with a car on SH3a.. slowly caught up to me.. overtook me while his car was smoking rather badly... then over took another car at speed.. I was expecting his car to loose a piston.. but unfortunately it didn't..
