On the way to work coming off the Northwestern, and spotted in the far RHL a young lady being assisted by one of my workmates (a 4x4 driving bike hater, no less) to get her nekid 600 black-side-down after she had apparantly toppled over at the lights. Work mate reckons her legs might be a little short for the bike when putting here foot down on the lower side of a cambered road...have to agree there.
2 minutes later, pull into 1 way St behind IBM building at the bottom of nelson St to get into carpark and spotted another young lady (I assume, as I couldn't see under the helmet) mounting her scooter after an off when she had to do a u-turn, again on a downward slope, as the road had been blocked and she couldn't get through.
No injuries for either as far as I could see, thank Ernie, just a couple of bruised bikes.
The moral: Practice doing a turn on a hill and using your uphill foot for balance if you have to stop, not the lower.
P.S. Good on you Glen for helping the biker chick (I know you wouldn't do the same for me :lol: )
