i've searched through previous threads, but couldn't find any relevant info, was just wondering if anyone knew who was the best company at a reasonable price to ship a bike from dunedin to wellington, and what the cost would be, also do you have any hints on the best way to package it, or what ever preparation has to be done before it's shipped?

There is a 3 bike trailer being moved from down your way up to Auckland...
Im not sure what the thread link is... under General Ravings I think.
But it's Madguatarist (sp) who is trying to get his trailer up to Auckland..

Maybe your bike could be moved up on the back of it.

KBers are attaching the trailer to the back of their cars... and towing it up.

i dunno, it just sounds a bit risky, put it this way, would you put your bike on a trailer being handled by many different people you've never met? and there's to many things that would have to be considered that way, i'd rather just give it to a transport company and let them sort it, no offence intended towards those involved in the trailer thing, i just don't feel comfortable doing it that way, so back to the original question, who, how much, any hints?

Well I paid $200 for my ZX-10 to come from Tauranga to Welly via Biketranz and it took a week from first phone call to delivery.
I didn't think that was too bad at all.

with any luck, yeah, just have to hope the guy who rung me last night comes through and actually places a bid on the auction, cause i'm getting faaaarken sick of there being like 25 watchers on my vt and no bids then once it finishes they all ask for a friggen offer, i should have posted it as a classified rather than an auction, classifieds seem to weed out the drop kick time wasters
