Hey,
Bit off topic obviously, but I'm looking at getting a new watch from these people and wondered if anyone had purchased anything from them before, any experiences good or bad?
It'll only be a couple of hundred bucks, but it's all money right.
Cheers.

Never heard about parallel imported watches but if they have the same rules as other parallel stuff, I believe it is very hard to get the NZ distributor or re-seller to honour the warantee/guarantee if something breaks - but like you say, its only a couple of hundy.

Now worries, Parallel Importers will generally provide their own guarantee.
They do on most other items, like cameras, cd players etc.
If they don't, don't buy it.

A friend bought a high-end car audio thinga from them, and it's perfect. No worries there. All the people are nice.
Oh yeah, and by going to Parallel, he saved about $200...

Parallel Imported the shop. Good to deal with! They are the providers of the warranty service of any item needing repair (NOT the brand i.e.Canon NZ) so provide great backup.
As for anyone else parallel importing goods... The warranty only applies to that person - not to you, as you are seen to be a "3rd person in the chain" and so are in effect purchasing 2nd hand goods. Clear as mud?
I bought a Seiko watch off betrademe and it has been perfect! Full manuals and certificates included + saved hundreds!!
Buy a recognised brand and you'll be fine!
