A mate of mine & I went for a ride today to see if we could have a close look @ Mt. St. Helens in SW Washington.
The new IRC tires I recently put on, proved quite worthy of the awesome twisty sections on the way there.:ride:
My mate who lives in Washington, had heard reports of snow possibly closing the particular road going to the Windy Ridge viewpoint which was our destination.
Well, the road wasn't closed per say......but we did have to find out 1st hand  ......

So after deciding that the snow's starting to cover what little pavement we had left:confused: ......

We got the bikes turned around & started heading back down.:(

*I've gotta get myself a nice Digi-Cam like my mate's......
Coz this dodgy camera/phone just doesn't quite cut it!

All in all, a Killer day out riding!:2thumbsup
Definitely wanna do this ride again in the spring.......maybe even with my RD:yes:

Wow that looks really cold! Your XT is in nice condition is it a 400 or 550?
Here's a pic of mine. Don't think you got the late model 600's in the states.

It's an '82 550, XTC......found it on EvilBay for only $800....it runs Great!:2thumbsup
Your right about the later model 600's.....haven't seen 'em here, but I'd sure like to adapt the front end off of 1 for mine. I've got a deal on the boil with a mate of mine....he's going to sell me a complete front end (from the knobbies up to the grips) from a '92 CR125....for only $100! I hope to that conversion this winter.
