I've had my learners since 1998 and no probs when stopped by the cops.

If you do 190kph down Southern Mway on a ZX9r, that's when they throw the book at you... ..... ahem .... ... .... .(tumbleweed.....)

I see.

I was told they are the best 400 out there.

When you say good maintenance - do you mean they break very easily??

What other 400 do you recommend SPB??

I don't care about the cops, it's not being able to insure it that keeps me off a 400.

hmm yeah they heat your legs if you sit still in traffic for ages, just open her up and split for abit is my solution

the rectifier tends toget hot and needs better cooling. when it blows or the coil drops a phase (i think) it outputs 19volts instead of 14 and fries the battery too. you can look up www.400greybike.co.uk for more info.
they are a bit chronic for electrical faults just need some livin i guess. a common mod is rgv250 front end, and i think a shock off an aprilia, not sure these days.
