You know the ones, it's from the Department of Courts and it tells me I have an overdue parking fine!!!
It also goes on to inform me that if I don't resolve the matter within the timeframe stated that my vehicle will be clamped or towed and sold to recover the costs of the fine.
I was not happy, the fine was originally $12, they're now telling me it is $150ish. The address that they had for reminder notices to be sent to was not the address I was living at in 2000 so now I have to prove where I was living.

I got a $7.00 parking fine in Hamilton years ago,by the time I recived any info on it,It had become $145.00.This was two years after the offence.
Bastards is the right word alright.I went to court over it and it cost me $200
in legal costs, But I still reckon that was better than just rolling over.
Fuckin' Bastards Even!!!

They come steal your vehicle, sell it take off the costs of stealing and selling plus commisions, then if there is anything left they recoup the original 'fine' including 'interest' and then if there is anything left . . . . . .
Put it as a credit against future infringements

Just the usual. You were spotting at X, doing Y, while you may think doing Y wasn't dangerous - Mr Old Man Wearing a Hat driving at 70kph in the Fast Lane of the Motorway thought it was dangerous and called the Community Watch Line....blah blah blah.

You could have the last laugh, Wkid, coz Mr Hat probably doesn't realise his *555 call is billed to his account. Shit - he could have made a hundred calls!!
