we, a german couple in the beginnig 40s, are planning to travel NZ for 3 month (jan to march 06) with a yamaha xt and a suzuki dr 650.
we are experienced tavellers and already traveled lots of europe, asia, north america and southern africa.
we would be happy to meet kiwi-bikers and to get great hints what to do and see in NZ........

Keep an eye on the forums..... There are rides organised, and some events advertised too. We now have a KB flag, so spotting us at big events should be easy :)
I'm in Germany (Hamburg), so I wont be there, but I'm sure there will be many others to meet....

Welcome to KB. Let us know what your plans are and I'm sure there will be places where you can meet up with some KBers along the way :2thumbsup

Well, it sounds like you have plenty of time to ride in both islands. In my opinion, the best riding is the South Island's West Coast (weather permitting).

Im sure you will enjoy you time in "Godzone". This is a wonderful country to travel, and Im sure you will enjoy your time here. TL Rider and I are in the top of the North Island, so let us know when you get to our neck of the woods, and we will give you that 'local knowledge' not found in books.
