I'm suppose to be going on a handling course this afternoon. I would have been keen if the instructor was. Still theres always tomorrow, and then the next day.....

We're all suffering. Not being able to get out on the bike weekend after damn weekend makes me want to cry, but whats the point no one would notice with all this bloody water everywhere. I was so looking forward to a blast around Manfeild tomorrow. Had a friend jacked up to take some track side video and a bike cam as well.
Went out for some wheelie & stoppie practice last night then got caught in a down pour Noah would have been proud of.
Who can we blame? Saddam's locked up, maybe Osama is behind this, some new form of torture

I was out earlier today and got soaked. :cold: I guess no amount of wet weather gear will keep you dry in this weather. Surprisingly enough I didn't see another bike on the road while I was out riding.

THe thing with rainis you can only get wet to the skin. Form there on you should be waterproof.
Only pussies dont ride in the rain.

I went out to pick up my bike from Motorcycle Surgery and called in at Motomail to look at and buy, a new helmet.1 bike outside the surgery, and one 5 outside Motomail, I guess there are some people that any reason to be up on 2 is better than a day in 4

February is indeed supposed to be summer. But let's get some facts right.
Cows don't fart. I am heartily sick of this completely fatuous and incorrect statement. Yes, it sounds funny but repeating it incessently doesn't make it right!
Cows eructate (they belch), that is the problem. Cows and all other ruminants (cud-chewing mammals) for that matter belch. That is where the methane comes from. Boy Scouts with lighters poised will wait until the end of time to ignite a cow's fart.
We shall speak of this no more!!

Halleluja!
I got out on the bike this afternoon for 30 minutes before the rain started again.
So the weekend hasn't been a total waste of time...

Crap Weather? .... Tell me about it.
I've just gotten home after riding back from the Coromandel penunsula which has been blasted by the edge of this cyclone thats clipped the North East during the last 24hrs. Jeeze it was a hair-razing ride, esp coming up from the coast and over the tops. Wickedly windy, horizontal rain, zero-visability, and all on a new bike :-(
On a positive note however, there was lots of slow traffic to slide past as the exodus of caravans and boat trailers made its way back west before the shit really hit the fan. Down on the Hauraki flats things were much more sedate, thank Allah. :-)

...sure is a good way of getting to know your new bike! I was forced to do the same on my green-machine when I rode for 4 hours in a torrential downpour from Wellington to Taupo- the 1st day I rode it! :shit:

Well I was out there this morning down through coromandel & stopped at ngatea for a coffee on the way back. Then back home for some family time, & then back out again this avo for a few more hours round the backroads. the weather was pretty good, the road was a little wet in places but pretty well washed clean so it wasn't slippery at all. another good day. 8-)
