Well what started off as a rainy overcast crap day, was turned into a great fun few hours our first club 250 meet. :D

We all turned up a TSS Motorcycles
around 9.am to have a chat and look around the new shop.
With Stew pumping the barby up we got stuck into the sausages and pattys
( well done stew thanks )

In all we had about 13 bikes wich considering the weather was a pritty good turn out. The weather didnt stop us though and we dicided to go for it and meet up at the caltex station in upper hutt and see what the weather was doing and take it from there.

After we got filled up with gas ( a good start when your riding some need to remember this not nameing names or anything ) we had a vote and yip we decided to go for it up the hill we would dride :2thumbsup

just a point to remember when your starting off remember to put the clutch in before you slam the bike into first gear or you will slide forward and have to get your nutts repaired by a ear nose and throat specialist  yip that was me I think my voice has finally come down.

so we set off in the rain slippery yes, fun yes it was great by the time I got to the top everyone was getting warm inside the cafe and perving at the local talent ( ok that was me again, and James ) we apparently had someone fall off at the beginning of the hill, on the straight, not going fast, just fell off, :o jay thinks this might of been caused by one of two things, 1 aliens has picked him up did weard experiments on him and then F***ed with his bike, ( well this could of happened ) Others say that his bike just wants to go in straight lines. what ever happened he was OK and got back onto the RG and took off like a bull with tits up the hill.

We all had a good laugh at the top and came up with some interesting ideas for the club, some good, some funny and some completly illegal ( midget bowling on mini bikes was one )

After an hour or so we all decided to hit the road again and off home we all went, in all I had a great time riding with others around the same pace and I look forward to the next meet and if the weather is good will be

next Sunday meeting at TSS Motorcycles again around 9.00am and heading off to Lake Ferry

Bloody excellent initiative. Shame the club wasn't going a year ago when Mrs H and I were doing our "time" on 250s...

PS: If anybody wants to by a Yamaha Zeal...

Have a safe ride guys. Sounds like you have a lot of fun - good on you for getting it going Darren.

If you want to venture somewhere after Lake Ferry, the Wairarapa Club is running their hillclimb event - free spectator entry. It's near Gladstone, I'll get the website and post it here.

Damn I would be keen as mustard to join the 250 club as it is sometimes tough to keep up with the faster bikes and I aint all that into some of the speeds they do....
Pity it looks all Wellington based Darren. Must be enuff of us in Orkland to organise a similar thing?
