I reckon they can pull it off. They seem to put alot of thought into the bikes they release enough to get away with it.

WOW a V4 - betcha the servicing will be horribly expensive, if the VFR is anything to go by (and thats a HONDA).

Hopefully they do a good job of it. A v4 is quite a bit different to designing a straight 4, and more complex than a v twin. There's a good reason why Honda have been the only company to have a real good run at the v4's in sports bikes etc. Others have only really tried them in cruisers and other types.
But if they do do a good job of it, I'll want one.

Yeah agreed, the V4 is very complex, maybe aprillia can come up with some way to make it fit the frame without it being too porky but a simpler layout or something!

Wow! A V4. What will they think of next?
Pah! Servicing a V4 isn't that expensive (and that's a Honda)...

The cynic in me asks "Who will they buy the motor from?"

The Brit magazines were talking about a V5 replacement for the Blackbird which at 10 years is now getting seriously old as bike models go. The V5 was due to be released in 2006.
I've been looking, but so far haven't seen any sign of it.
Here's hoping...
